Nip funds can also be used to help modify a home to make it more accessible for those living with disabilities or experiencing difficulties due to age. 

• NIP is a grant that helps homeowners catch up on costly maintenance and repairs they’ve been putting off due to the expense. 
• NIP funds can also be used to help modify a home to make it more accessible to people living with disabilities or aging in place.
• Grants range from $1000 to $15,000, depending on the scope of repairs and modifications needed.
• Grant applicants must meet income requirements, be current on their mortgage and taxes, and need repairs or modifications.
• Funds are limited, available on a first-ved basis, and are not guaranteed to everyone who applies.
